The Simple Pleasures!

Every Friday we anxiously await the arrival of the garbage man. This is a very exciting time for Kyle. We even feel a kinship with this big, bearded man after so many weeks! Mya happened to be over playing today so she got to experience the joy of it, too. Kyle really does get this excited every week. He loves anything that's big, has wheels and makes lots of noise. Below is a video showing our Friday tradition.

That's so funny Julie- Kyle is hilarious- we love all his new little things he is doing and the icecream machine is great too! Brooklyn is a sweetie too- Jase also has a funny crawl- he wont get up onto anything- he just army crawls- but he's pretty fast at it. I was just thinking of you today. I remembered a time when we all lived in Cedar and you were telling me why it was so hard to keep your house clean- that Kyle just followed you around and undid any cleaning you finished. Well- when I was folding the laundry today- I got up for one second to get something and when I looked back, Jase had already gotten a hold of a pile of newly folded clothing and was tossing them everywhere(they are so fast!) so this is what Julie meant I thought to myself:).

That reminds me of Justin. When he was little, probably Kyle's age, he loved anything like big trucks or equipment. He would get so excited. He would yell "big deedees!!!!!! I'm not sure what that meant. He just loved big trucks. He was such a fun little boy.

We have watched this so many times already. I bet you make that garbage man's day...seriously...I bet he looks forward to it as much as Kyle.

How adorable! My first thought before reading the post was that Kyle was probably watching for Christian to come home from work (but then it occurred to me that it's probably YOU who jumps up & down when Christian gets home from work) ha, ha! Anyway, Kyle might get his "over the top" love of big trucks from Christian! We used to have to take Christian down to the end of our street where they were demolishing some existing homes and building a new little strip mall and watch for what seemed like hours! For his 3rd birthday we wanted to get him his very own "Big
Wheel" because he was riding Emily's pink hand-me-down bike, but he would not let us leave Toys R Us without buying the peddling Bull Dozer instead! PS - sorry I haven't commented lately, but I want you to know I "visit" you daily and I'm so grateful to you for the frequent glimpses into your lives for us "out-of-towners"!

Julie, that is so adorable. Jacob is obsessed with the garbage man too! He also loves the mailman. I started mailing him little letters from work on Wednesday, so that when I am home with him on Fridays and he goes to get the mail, there will be a letter for him too! He gets so excited, even if it is just from mom. Also, when Rachael comes to town in November I want to help with a baby shower. So, let me know what is happening with that. Love ya!
